
Luís Grego is a Portuguese clarinetist in the National Republican Guard Symphonic Band and Chamber Orchestra.
Since 2024, he has collaborated with the Orquestra das Beiras. He began his musical studies at the Music School of Banda de Música de Ponte de Lima and later continued at the Academia de Música Fernandes Fão with Professor Gaspar Lima. He is completing his degree at the University of Minho, under the coordination of Professor Dr. Vítor Matos.Throughout his career, Luís has participated in masterclasses with renowned teachers including António Saiote, Carlos Alves, Luís Carvalho, Telmo Costa, Sérgio Pires and Christoffer Sundqvist.As a soloist, Grego has performed with the Banda de Música de Ponte de Lima, the National Republican Guard Symphonic Band, the Santiago Clarinet Ensemble and the Minho University Clarinet Ensemble. As a chamber musician, he leads a project with a string quartet performing Fado, traditional Portuguese music.In 2025, Luís Grego became an artist of SCV Ligatures. He plays the Tonus Mundi Ligature.
