Kamil Janas – SCV LIGATURES Artist Kamil Janas is a Polish clarinetist and the Principal Clarinetist of the Stanisław Moniuszko Grand Theatre in Poznań. Renowned for his refined sound, technical mastery, and versatility, he maintains an active musical career throughout Europe with leading orchestras and ensembles. Kamil began playing clarinet at age eleven. He earned his Bachelor and Master degrees at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice under Professor Arkadiusz Adamski. His international artistic development continued through the Erasmus program at the Academy of Music in Ostrava with Karel Dohnal, followed by advanced Master’s studies at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana in Lugano with François Benda. A laureate of more than 40 national and international competitions, his most distinguished achievements include:
- 2nd Prize – International Clarinet Competition “S. Mercadante” (2025)
- 2nd Prize – International Silverstein Clarinet Contest (2024)
In 2021, Kamil released a critically acclaimed album featuring music by Marcel Chyrzyński, published by Orpheus Classical and available on all major streaming platforms. As a soloist, he has performed with:

He has also collaborated with distinguished European ensembles. From 2019 to 2021 he was an academician with the Prague Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and performed with the Schleswig-Holstein Festival Orchestra in 2019, 2021, and 2023. He previously worked with the State Opera in Varna, Bulgaria. In 2025, Kamil Janas became an official artist of SCV LIGATURES. He performs using the M-TOUCH ligature.
